CCP’s New Crisis Command Center Seeks Tighter Control Of Hong Kong

According to Reuters’ report, Beijing has set up the command center in Shenzhen. It intends to replace the current Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong. The latter serves to channel communications between Beijing and Hong Kong. The new crisis command center could be a sign of Beijing’s soon-to-be tougher stance in tackling the political unrest in Hong Kong.
