8 Chinese Medical Schools delisted from the WHO Medical School Directory

November 19 — The news of the delisting of 8 Chinese medical schools from the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) has aroused widespread concerns after it came out on 6 Nov 2019. WDOMS was established by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) — which was co-founded by the WHO and the World Medical Association (WMA) — and it is an authority in the medical industry.

The consequences of academic fraud, plagiarism and other acts are emerging. How many generations will be responsible for these consequences?

According to Chinese media reports, the delisted Chinese medical schools include Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, Liaoning University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
