“Come out,” a mother asked her daughter who was being trapped in the Polytechnic University (PolyU). The daughter answered, “Mom, there’s no way out!” The mother helplessly replied, “Darling, I’ll wait for you right outside.” The frustrated mother told a reporter afterwards, “There’s nothing I can do, but wait for her at a closest distance…”
The government announced that citizens above 18 in PolyU would be charged with rioting. The underaged ones would not be immediately arrested, but the police reserve the right to press charges later.
Meanwhile, some citizens whose personal details had been recorded by the police were stopped and arrested at the border at the airport for no apparent reasons, given that they were not arrested previously.
