Hong Kong Police Firing Tear Gas at Reporters

Hong Kong – At around 11 p.m., Nov. 18, riot police clashed with the public at the intersection of Nathan Road and Waterloo Road.

During the confrontation, some police stared at the direction of the press and had eye contact with the press from USP. Tear gas was fired towards them afterwards, shooting a press at his leg. The shoes protected the leg from serious injury luckily.

However, USP would like to condemn the police for attacking the press repeatedly, obstructing the freedom of the press and interview, and their conduct while handling ammunition are causing public security concerns.
