Voluntary medics go to frontlines, with no fear of getting shot: “Hong Kong is my home”

Nov. 13, 2019

Hong Kong – Taking off their equipments, volunteer medics Vest and L (pseudonyms) are just your typical students with problems faced by any other youth, like parental objection and lack of time to do their homework. Still, both of them and many other medics continue to volunteer their services for emergency medical work.

When asked about why they are still doing this , L replied that he is “someone who sees life as a very important thing.” He cannot bear to see people getting hurt due to their differing political views.

He said, “Hong Kong is my home,” and just hopes to do whatever he can for it.
