Doctors, nurses and first aiders Voluntarily Gathered at CUHK

“We don’t want there to be another Alex Chow Tsz-Lok”, said by volunteers gathered at CUHK. Chow is a 22-year-old student who fell in a carpark during police operation on Nov 4 and passed away on Nov 8.

Other than Red Cross, a group of doctors, nurses, and first aiders chose to dedicate their day-off and rest time to volunteer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) makeshift first aid station and provide medical care to the injured.

For humanitarian reasons, it is difficult for the medical staff to participate in the strike. Many of them expressed that “I actually still have work tomorrow, but let’s not worry about that now.” They insisted to provide assistance at CUHK to prevent any delayed medical treatment. “We don’t want there to be another Alex Chow.”
