HK Police Mocks Young Student’s Death, Yelling “Let’s open a bottle of champagne!Congratulations!” at Mourners

Hong Kong – At around 21:40, riot police on a footbridge in Tuen Mun flashed torchlight at citizens who demonstrated in the aftermath of the student’s death on November 8.

The police were recorded in the video to have shouted “Come take revenge, cockroaches!“, “Fight a duel, cockroaches!“, “Let’s open a bottle of champagne!” and “Hey, congratulations!

22-year-old Chow Tsz-lok passed away that morning after being hospitalized for 4 days. He fell off from a carpark in the morning of November 4 during a police operation in Tseung Kwan O. The cause of the fall remains unknown–though he was believed to have tried to avoid tear gas canisters fired at the carpark.
