President Donald Trump declared a national emergency in response to the outbreak of coronavirus this afternoon in the Rose Garden at the White House.
He has just announced a number of new measures to stop the spread of the virus and help those who are infected. These will free up $50 billion fund and give more power to the secretary of Health and Human Services to speed up the containment of the virus and treatment of the patients by waiving certain laws and regulations.
1.4 million new tests for coronavirus would be available next week and that 5 million would be available within the next month in his announcement. Meanwhile Walmart, Target, CVS and Walgreen will participate the jointly efforts to provide more “drive through” virus testing sites, that will be soon available in the local communities across the nation.
